Pros

You have working for a global bank on your CV

Cons

Everything is in Canada - other regions are disregarded or treated as low level resources who take direction from Toronto. No real decisions can be made if they aren’t coming from Toronto - regional employees are treated as inferior to Canada at all levels. Processes you rely on at the centre are painful, rarely work and are all managed in EST. You punch your card daily and take orders from Toronto, whilst being treated a s a moron because you are not in Canada. All the events and employee investment happens in Canada & it often feels leaders don’t even know the bank employees people in other countries. 4 day in office policy to come in and spend your time on calls with Canada.

Excellent collaboration between infrastructure and incident management teams; vendor coordination is efficient. Competitive compensation and benefits package, including solid health coverage and retirement matching.

Cons

Workload spikes during major incidents can challenge work-life balance, especially when on-call.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
