Pros

High starting salaries, very good deal on health care. Managers are very "hands-off" and allow a high degree of personal freedom at work. People here are professional - I've never seen anyone disrespected or "lose it". Everybody at Procter is extremely smart - best of the best. Job security is fairly good. Huge number of opportunities once you get into the company*

Cons

* as long as you want to live in/near Cincinnati. The bureaucracy is mind-boggling. There is not a single thing that you do that does not involve some sort of form or worksheet as a prerequisite. These forms change without notice, so plan on doing everything more than once. I worked for a DoD contractor in the past and it was much less bureaucratic than this.

Pros

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Cons

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
