Pros

Flexible working, friendly office culture and a casual dress policy. Amazing employee perks, such as: your birthday off, drinks on Fridays, a free lunch at the beginning of every month, fruit delivered twice a week and a variety of free breakfast cereals, quarterly awards to high-achieving individuals that entail a free dinner on the company and days out for high-performing offices. A thorough induction programme meant that I met everyone in senior management in the week that I started and everyone is given a more senior buddy to use as a sounding board. But, yes, it's not all about the perks. I was offered a greater salary than I specified when applying for my job and have been supported at Proco since day one. I enjoy working autonomously and am left to get my work done, but still feel like a crucial part of my team whose voice and opinions are heard. I can amazingly talented colleagues and, honestly, it's nice to work in The City without feeling like you are (I did in a job that I hated previously and promised that I never would again!). Management are keen to hire and retain good employees and it really shows. I work on the Business Services side of the organisation, so I can't comment on the commission structure, but I feel like a valued member of my team and work closely with our consultants at every level.

Cons

I feel more supported here than I have in all of my previous jobs, so I am very happy at Proco.

Pros

Work hard play hard mentality. You bill, you make money, simply put. You work hard, you are awarded, simply put. Supportive environment. The business is patient to allow people time to get up and running. If the business sees that you are putting the effort in, they will help you and support you to get to your goals.

Cons

The business, like every other company in the world has had to make changes and look at how they approach the market and overall, the internal landscape. Perhaps those decisions weren't easy for the business, but everything that was done was with everyone's best interest in mind.

Hi Tim, thanks for your review, Interesting - but not entirely factual. Firstly, whilst it hasn't been our greatest year, as with the vast majority of companies in our industry, There have been an awful lot of headwinds over the past 12 months that go a long way to explaining that. Secondly, we have lots of great people in this business who have understood that, knuckled down and produced incredible results. You weren't one of them, having billed less than your day rate over the previous 18 months (which I'm sure you haven't told your new employer). Interestingly, our best two months of the year have been since you left which I'm sure is a coincidence, but it feels quite symbolic. Finally, thank you for your "strategic" advice, I'll be sure to take it all on board. I wish you well Tim.
