Pros

Fast paced environment always busy. Pride achieving budgets and making money. Commercial performance and competition is fun when you win. If you make the effort it will be noticed. Good progression (to a point). Very multicutural and diverse and everybody is welcome. *Some* very good mentors in a few stores that will aid your knowledge and progression.

Cons

No Bonus. (but colleagues do) No consistency with managers performance, leaving hard workers working extra hard. Retail hours, late nights, very little consistency. (like this in all retail) Some senior managers in stores have been in the buisness too long, old fashioned styles of management. Colleagues have too much power, some of the stupidest rules and agreements made because of the union. Makes some of them untouchable. Even senior HR sweep things under the carpet instead of dealing with the issues. Lazy lazy lazy people there to just get paid and do nothing, both managers and colleagues. People afraid to speak about others performance and things rarely change. Depends what store you're working in because the areas around are where the poeple are hired from (read between the lines with this comment, not all are bad obviously but the general culture of a store can be hugely affected by them)

Pros

You get lots of PTO up front as a part timer and can gain flex hours overtime. Get a 50 cent raise every six months.

Cons

Was told during onboarding that if a Christian comes into the store spreading the gospel, I have to kick them out. This includes the mention of the Jesus without the church invite. Managers claim its rude and if a customer does it, they get booted. Faced harassment from a customer and management didn't let me switch too a different department. Extremely high turnover rate and managers don't replace them, making your job more stressful during peak hours. Hard to use PTO. Little to no training. Too many bachelor and master holding part timers who get lucked out of moving up in the company. Managers give some people no task while pilling on multiple tasks on one person. Too many managers to deal with (and usually never find) and the full timers make you do the dirty work while they "unpack boxes". Its a pro-LGBT anti christian company. If they want to be pro-LGBT, than more power to them. But anti-Christian is discriminatory and unnecessary.
