Pros

Nice coworkers Consistent schedule each week Retail experience

Cons

Very understaffed so everyone who does their job is doing twice as much work as normal. Customers leave the store a mess. If it's busy you can literally walk away from your section for 5 minutes and it'll be turned upside down. Also since the employee bathrooms are broken you're forced to use the public ones which the customers just destroy. Low pay. Fine for part time/if you really need it but at a certain point it becomes not worth it. Weird overly strict rules like boots being against the dress code (even on days where it would snow), drinks that aren't water not being allowed on the floor (customers would bring and all sorts of drinks) and being called out for talking to a coworker for a few minutes (managers would literally chat while on the floor for 40 minutes straight). HR is disappointing. They're clearly on the side of the company/management so any problems you have with them will fall on deaf ears even if certain managers are literally racist towards employees. Similarly, if customers are rude/make you uncomfortable you just have to take it. Management offers no support. Equipment is often broken or scarce so a lot of times you have to scramble to figure out alternatives just to get things done. No set store manager so there's no final say in anything. Things are constantly being done, undone, and done again from week to week which is frustrating.

Pros

You get lots of PTO up front as a part timer and can gain flex hours overtime. Get a 50 cent raise every six months.

Cons

Was told during onboarding that if a Christian comes into the store spreading the gospel, I have to kick them out. This includes the mention of the Jesus without the church invite. Managers claim its rude and if a customer does it, they get booted. Faced harassment from a customer and management didn't let me switch too a different department. Extremely high turnover rate and managers don't replace them, making your job more stressful during peak hours. Hard to use PTO. Little to no training. Too many bachelor and master holding part timers who get lucked out of moving up in the company. Managers give some people no task while pilling on multiple tasks on one person. Too many managers to deal with (and usually never find) and the full timers make you do the dirty work while they "unpack boxes". Its a pro-LGBT anti christian company. If they want to be pro-LGBT, than more power to them. But anti-Christian is discriminatory and unnecessary.
