Thank you for your thoughts. The Digital Marketing Specialist role at Perk is a fast paced and performance based role. As challenging as the role is, it is equally rewarding both in learnings, excitement, and compensation. This is a unique position and we do our best to screen for hires that we believe will be successful. As Manager of the Traffic Acquisition team, I put forth every effort to train new employees and to provide a path towards success. Unfortunately, this role is not the best fit for everyone. We are always modifying and enhancing our screening, hiring, and training processes to help us increase our hiring success rate, which over the past 12 months has been extremely successful. We wish you all the best in your future opportunities and hope that, during your time at Perk, you were able to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Pros

Downtown parking was convenient, lunch was brought in daily, a pretty cool work space with nice desks--set up in a way that SHOULD promote collaboration.

Cons

The office space is open and bright, but the employees do not openly collaborate--let alone speak to one another. Much of the communication occurs online. In-person discussions are just not held in high regard here, as it is considered a waste of time. It is a very awkward work environment to spend 50+ hours a week in. Little to no organization when it comes to your projects. Many times I found myself working a project all the way through pre-launch stage, only to find an email (or sometimes no notification at all) saying "this was no longer a priority", wherein the project was dropped entirely. Wasted time. Always felt a sense of utter chaos. Felt constantly frenzied to ship comps with no clear direction of what the scope of a project was. Management does not make any effort to openly collaborate or engage their employees in areas where they are passionate. Really are just looking for button pushers who can ship their products with their vision in mind and no overarching goal.
