Pros

Workload is not heavy kind of work-life balance

Cons

One thing I really don't like there is the political atmosphere. The management team only care about if you could finish the projects, but never cares about employees' career development. The company's data system fell behind a lot, leading to tons of manual work, which can be handled by everyone. Why do they want an actuary to do such kind of work?

Pros

PBC fosters a team environment and inclusivity. There is flexibility and a great work life balance. There is a flow of communication between management and the employees

Cons

There is not many cons. Training is hard when working from home and no set process. Not sure what going back to the office would look like

Pacific Blue Cross Response

Thank you for highlighting our collaborative and inclusive environment. The pandemic has prompted Pacific Blue Cross to adapt to a new temporary normal of remote work for many positions, which includes the tradeoffs of shifting training from in person to virtual delivery. We are taking a cautious approach to returning to work at the office as the health and safety of our staff is our top priority.

Pros

a good place to work, very caring environment, supportive of team mates,

Cons

the way they determine holiday time based on seniority does not work for employees with families. Don't expect summer holidays unless you have been there for a long time.
