    I have been working at Pacific Blue Cross full-time

    Pros

    Progressive work environment. There are many technology initiatives and investments happening to move PBC to a digital environment that will benefit our Members.

    Engaged in community connection. Lots of opportunities to get involved in a number of charitable activities. In addition, PBC provides sponsorship to employees to be involved and give back to a charity(s) of their choice.

    Diversity and inclusion. Not only does PBC have a diverse workplace, but PBC also celebrates in the diversity. There have been a number of cultural days where we learn and celebrate those cultures.

    Benefits. One of the best benefit plans out there in comparisons to other employers.

    Life Balance. Staff are able to have flexible schedules as long as we work 35 hrs in the week. I can pick up my kids or attend a yoga class after work.

    Onsite gym and fully catered cafeteria. Health and wellness initiatives to encourage staff to live a healthy lifestyle.

    Cons

    Lots to do to make PBC a progressive company; however, it's a good career opportunity for anyone who's looking for this type of experience.

    I applied online. The process took about 2 months.

    First interview was over the phone with HR, second interview was in person with managers and HR, third interview was in person with manager and leaders, fourth interview was over the phone with director; then work reference and background check.

    The recruitment process was friendly, respectful, and thorough! It definitely exceeded my expectations.
