Where do we start with OFX? To begin with, at anytime you see someone who rates this place more then 1 star I would assume its a current employer or someone trying to get there rating up. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing? As a BDM you are told that they are an innovative company , however after a few months you realise you are selling spot and forward products only. They will not listen to you when you tell them to try something new and you will get absolutely no support at all. The corporate dealing team has some of the worst people you will ever work with as its a massive boys club (most are all old boys from the North Shore btw). The entire place is filled with work place bullying, innuendos, and people who seem to get off making fun of others. Its not a nice place to work and the management team are extremely unsupportive. If you are behind on target expect to be forced out in a few months. Also no one wants to fix the culture, it seems its ok to ostracize, make fun of people, and also exclude them. Finally the managers get very threatened when you come to them with an idea on how to improve anything, its almost as if you will show them up and people could realise that they really should not be people leaders, let alone middle or upper managers. They will talk about diversity and work life balance and there really isn't any. You cant work from home, you are expected to come in at 8am, no one wants to help you , and there is no point using modern technology when it is all bad technology. Also they dont have an identity, on one hand they want to be this cool tech company and on the other they want to be an FX company - it doesn't work. The share price, enough said lol. All year I keep hearing about the share price and our share holders.. its gone from $2.00 to a $1.80... In terms of products these guys are stuck in the early 2000, they still think people will sign for the name and they still think that its easy to get people on big margin. Also they will tell you to go after enterprise clients but when you do you are told to not worry about it???? Let me finish with this real life incident, you know its a classy place when your manager tells you in a one on one meeting " I don't know if I am going to keep you on and it has nothing to do with HR or racial background". All class OFX, all class.
