Pros

Great benefits. PTO. Decent 401k match. Stock options. Dragon is the leader in Speech-to-text technology. Good people from training staff, account managers, sales engineers, etc. New AI front-end speech solution is great (DAX)

Cons

Some leadership can't move past transcription and have no knowledge of CAPD tools. Good ole boys club and if you aren't in it, or weren't hired by one of those in it, you have 1-year to learn and prove yourself. Releasing too many new products, without ensuring the current products work. Dragon is the go-to, it works, everyone loves it who uses it, but the CAPD functionality is lacking. Territory is big determining factor to success, as many are small or dilluted with customers who already have Dragon and they aren't buying much beyond that. This causes quarterly quota's to be tough to hit and always chasing that "whale" to get you to the number. If you are looking at Nuance, look for a role on the community health side, Surgical CAPD, or DAX. Those are areas you can be successful.

Pros

The company offers excellent training and a thorough onboarding process, helping new hires feel well-prepared and confident. The small, close-knit teams foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where you never feel lost in the crowd. Employees take pride in the innovative technology and software being developed, which is recognized as impactful within the industry. (Note: The company was acquired by Microsoft to bring potential for future growth.)

Cons

While the company excels in many areas, there’s limited upward mobility, especially in certain career paths, which can be frustrating for those seeking advancement. Additionally, feedback from employees often feels like it’s not taken seriously, which can lead to disengagement when trying to influence change or improve processes.
