Pros

Good salaries Good, flexible, benefits

Cons

Too many restructures in the last 4-5 years, the outcomes of which have been detrimental to customer relationships and to being effective in delivering for patients. Software for CRM and sales analysis barely fit for purpose, and not designed for the sales teams that really need them. HR is now a difficult to access part of the business and centralised, so very impersonal and unresponsive. If you like your cars, then avoid Novartis. You are forced to have a company car (allowances are not an option) and they usually have to be expensive BEVs so the list is terrible due to the high cost of these vehicles and Novartis not increasing their budgets to take account of this.

Pros

Pays pretty well in comparison to similar jobs in the market

Cons

Unstable schedule where you are often asked to come in overnight (1-2 am) regardless of if you have worked the previous day or are off. Basically feels like you're permanently on-call to conduct environmental monitoring. Training is slow. The Micro dept in general is currently understaffed. The job also involves lab work once you are done with your daily environmental monitoring tasks. The work never ceases and the Technicians as a whole has several responsibilities. Promotions seem to come very slowly here.
