I worked at Novartis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Structure, good learning, support system in place to help new comers. Good mix of experienced people and room to grow.

    Cons

So much compliance issues and fear of being audited and found not to be compliant it basically creates obstacles to innovation and sometimes corporate paralysis.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting to make your quota on female vs male leaders; choose the skills and competencies so you are successful in your launches. Also, invest more ahead. Your are not at par with the rest of the industry. It's a shame not to deliver more on some of these amazing products you have.

    Pros

Working in Novartis as a CRA, you got many flexibility to complete your tasks and you got a great team to support you about your tasks. The workload is reasonable and the trials are excited. There are continuing good studies in Novartis.

    Cons

It is a little bit hard for new staff to get familiar with all the new requirement and system in Novartis, since the orientation training provide too much information and fresh man can not digest everything in a few days. New ones have to continue study in the following tasks.

    Advice to Management

Please provide some budget on team building, which really important especially for new staffs. Team building led by each CRA Group head is much help than training provided by the trainer. Monthly training is required with in a Local CRA Group, which help CRAs aware updated change of company's requirement.
