Pros

benefit, salary, home office, vacations

Cons

At the beginning they hired senior people, that later found out to be at same level (salary and responsibilities) of people with no working experience in procurement. Serve the business for the task that they don t want to do in country. So new strategy is to pay the same but to hired people with no experience or background so they will not complain and they will be happy to do administrative task ( upload pdf, organize meetings, copy paste in contract..) with a better salary and a lot of home office. At the end no possibility to learn and to growth if you want a REAL experience in procurement, in your cv you will be even Category Manager but you will not be ready later in your career to do this job in a real procurement department in another company!! Management not well educated and with no skills to lead so many people, unclear careers opportunities, and no meritocracy.

Pros

Pays pretty well in comparison to similar jobs in the market

Cons

Unstable schedule where you are often asked to come in overnight (1-2 am) regardless of if you have worked the previous day or are off. Basically feels like you're permanently on-call to conduct environmental monitoring. Training is slow. The Micro dept in general is currently understaffed. The job also involves lab work once you are done with your daily environmental monitoring tasks. The work never ceases and the Technicians as a whole has several responsibilities. Promotions seem to come very slowly here.
