Overall the company is still a force and opportunities exist although much more limited than just 5 years ago. - Project Manager Nokia Employee Review

Pros

The company is very forward looking. Change is always in the air. The culture allows for mistakes to help build knowledge and learnings. The company has moved to a project focused management style which allows for rapid change in a rapidly changing industry. The benefits and compensation package appears to still be competitive. The environment is comfortable and nice - they spend a lot of money on their faclities to make the employee comfortable and to welcome the customer. The company is still the predominate driver in the wireless industry globally. Aggressively moving to be the leader in wireless products and services as they continue to converge in the marketplace.

Cons

Change is always in the air - reorgs happen way too often at all levels. This takes away from focus and progress with in teams. Recent compensation freezes may have put the pay behind the more competitive companies. I could have highly recommended this company 8 years ago but the market has stabilized significantly in many countries and the opportunities for advancement and new challenges are very limited unless relocation to Asia is attractive to you. Has lost some significant opportunities in past years that hurt the company image (flip phone and iPhone to name a couple). The competition has really closed the gap.
