      Pros

      Nokia provided an environment with significant challenges and generally rewarded achievement against them. A Flexible approach is generally taken - you are free to choose your own way of working, within reason.

      Cons

      A little too much management oversight on important decisions, a certain lack of trust in an Engineer's opinion, at least in Software. Salaries (in the UK) were slightly less than average

      Pros

      Decent starting salary, good benefits, generous PTO

      Cons

      1% raises forever. Last promotion I got to Principal had no raise but a bump in bonus percentage. Now they are giving kids 8-12% raises and they have less than 5 yrs. Once you hit about 5 yrs you will get the 1% a yr and be pigeon holed into a specific job. Then good luck trying to change.
