4yHey ex-colleague - the case you described doesn't happen very often. A lot of ex-Nagarrians don't even go through the interview process. However, what is likely to have happened is that when we looked at your current salary, we had to take you through an evaluation process to see if you are suitable for a profile which can justify a salary hike. It is possible that it turned out that we couldn't, so we still made an offer as best as we could.
I agree that our communication could have been better.
