Pros
-Free do build a biz however you wish. -Access to a plethora of investments and platform, even very early on. -Very generous training schedule. -Can be a very lucrative career.
Cons
-Prospecting your way to success is a thing of the past. Literally, no one in a position of leadership within the company can offer any advice beyond cold calling (which no longer works). -Only interested in million dollar clients. Anyone else will get feed to death. -Merger has been ugly -Absolutely no quality control. Every advisor gives a different level of service and advice. -Want free checking? Online trading platform? God forbid... an app? Forget it. -Can't survive on your own. Payouts for new guys are small, and decreasing each year. Don't accept a job unless you're put on a team. -Half the admin staff in my office was laid off while I was there, the manager had to start a book from scratch and thus disappeared, and no one left had a clue how to do anything in the OLD system. They're really going to be screwed when the new one comes out. -Enjoy seeing your company vilified in the news at least once a month.
