Pros

Used to have a good reputation, big company, pays well

Cons

Discriminating despite all their words about diversity. Discriminating on different cultures and status, having a family is not in, certainly not applying for unpaid parental leave. Collegues ready to put a knife in your back. They steal prospects from you while you are on holiday. No team spirit, it is you against everyone. Unhealthy work environment. Don't try a dialogue about it, this will just ensure that they try to get rid of you.

Dear Former Colleague, Thank you for taking the time to provide your candid feedback. We are disappointed that you didn’t have a positive experience during your time at Mercer. We know from our colleagues that the work they do and the colleagues they work with are the things they value the most. We are sorry to hear your experience was not reflective of our culture values which are so important to us. Mercer strongly agree that ensuring we have a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential and we take this seriously. There are business resource groups, including one which focuses on race and ethnicity, in the UK and globally who look at specific aspects of inclusion within our workforce. Our D&I Council bring these agendas together and ensure alignment with wider business strategy. We have D&I champions in every UK office. We actively consider the diversity of our candidates and how we align our teams together. Mercer also offer agile working, with family friendly policies, which many of our colleagues value. Should you wish to provide more insight to your feedback, please feel free to contact us at ColleagueFeedback@Mercer.com We wish you all the very best with your future career endeavours.

Pros

Remote flexibility, which is nice.

Cons

You will not get a raise and if you do, it'll be 1%. Managers will not help you with escalating issues, you're on your own. It'll be blamed on you. You'll work so much overtime you won't have a social life.
