Pros

Amazing peers that really push you to your full potential Social aspect (if you want to get involved) is great - lots of internal and external professionals meet ups

Cons

No progression route for junior support staff, basically when you're support staff that's it and only route for progression is if you take on actuarial/investment exams. In the words of Richard Branson "Train people well enough so they can leave. Treat them well enough so they don't want to." Upper management didn't give a rats backside about junior members because they didn't bring in the money!

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
