Pros
*Very competitive benefit package - they still offer a pension unlike most companies *Mission-centric - everyone's drinking the company Kool-aid *Nice facilities with a great cafeteria, a gym, company store, etc.
Cons
*If you're not a technical employee (engineer, scientist, R&D) you are treated as a second-class citizen *Their primary business mantra is Do More With Less. While it's good to be lean, many support areas are past the point to anemic leading to high rates of burn out and cynicism *They pay 85% of the market value for your job *Too many middle managers. *Leadership turnover is high and it leads to a muddy vision or strategy *Development opportunities are limited (includes even lateral moves). You're very much siloed in your current position.
