I worked at Medtronic (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great colleagues, benefits and opportunity to learn and grow. Brampton office is a very nice environment.

    Cons

Senior leadership has disagreements that can hinder performance mid level. Work expectations are unreal at times, be prepared to have candid discussions with your manager about workload imbalances, especially if you are a performer. Disappointing bonus structure. Lots of re-organizations and large layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and action needed items instead of tabling them because hands are tied. Your employees are your business specialists.

I worked at Medtronic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Prior to the acquisition of Covidien by Medtronic, this was a really dynamic, caring and initiative based company.

    Cons

Three months after the acquisition, I was summarily let go by a new manager, who just didn't like me, without much explanation. Following my dismissal, both the customer service department and the warehouse were closed and subcontracted.

    Advice to Management

You have let a lot of talented employees go and have subcontracted their jobs. I hope that works out for you.

    I worked at Medtronic full-time

    Pros

Ok company if you have a simple job

    Cons

No room for growth, do not stand up for their employees to foster a culture of equality and fairness. Bullying at work is tolerated and individuals perpetrating such behaviour are still working there!

    Advice to Management

Arrogance will not always work for you. What goes around comes around.
