Pros
Flexible start hours in most departments, friendliness of employees, great place to start gaining experience; McKesson is great for an entry level person to go to.
Cons
HR staff cannot really answer all your questions, wonder why they have an HR rep. Archaic computer system that has not been updated since who knows when. No room for advancement up the chain or for a lateral move, as things are being restructured or outsourced. The starting level pay is $2 lower per hour than the average entry level pay for medical billers and the amount of workload is not worth the money you are paid for it. Some of the corporate policies go against real actual law that does exist and they have no plans to change their policies to reflect true law. Too much micro-management w/in departments-meaning too many people trying to be your supervisor at one time and tell you what your duties are (too many hands in the same pot) making the job not get done w/in the appropriate time frame as mandated by governmental agencies. Training needs to be revamped-need training manuals for departments and use people who actualy know how to train. There was no raise given after 90 days like most other jobs. No formal evaluation either was given.
