Pros
-You can always get overtime - Benefits are nice - You get to learn literally everything - Experience managing people - Get paid weekly
Cons
- The pay is pathetic for not just me, everyone!!!! We are beyond short staffed right now and I feel like our starting pay just isn't competitive enough. Since becoming a captain I make $15 an hour and when you're putting blood sweat and tears, going above and beyond I just feels like you're being cheated and definitely not valued enough. -People that have worked there 15+ years don't listen to you and feel like it's okay to do whatever they want which is infuriating. -I feel like it was pretty easy to become a captain but now wanting to move up more seems nearly impossible which is bs because they didn't paint it that way to begin with - Very hard to have any sort of life constantly full of stress and anxiety - Extremely short staffed but the expectations don't change (so you have to work 12-13 hours a day to get everything done and nobody else stays with you they don't give a crap because it falls on you the captain) - Everyone wants everything there way so there isn't any clear direction EVER - You get your schedule weekly and it's always different which also makes it very difficult to have a life or make plans
