Cons

I'm working in MRI since last 4 years and I've seen It get from genuinely "Great Company to Work" to a culture that is there today in MRI Vadodara. Over last 2 years, The company's focus has shifted from quality of employee, working culture and talent nurturing to Headcounts, Yes-man nurturing and Authoritarian management style. Here's why: - Opaque Leadership: While the company promotes an "open-door policy," the reality within certain departments (particularly the NA project) is highly political. Crucial decisions affecting employee careers are made behind closed doors. And Employees are kept in darkness till the last moment so that they keep fearing about what will be their fate. - Problematic Restructuring: There are frequent reorganizations and leadership rotations across several product teams to ENGAGE employee into uncertainty. Unfortunately, this restructuring often feels like a way to protect problematic management practices rather than improving the products. MRI has genuinely good products like PMX but such constant reorgs may damage the product, culture and overall company. - Micromanagement and Favouritism: The management style in specific teams relies heavily on micromanagement. There is a strong culture of favouritism where compliance is heavily rewarded over competence - Lack of Merit-Based Promotions: At this company, "visibility" and office politics are consistently rewarded over hard work and actual competence. Career advancement heavily favours those with strong networking skills and an eagerness to appease management, rather than those delivering quality results. Because of this, you will find individuals who have been rapidly promoted into management roles every couple of years who lack the necessary leadership or technical skills to actually do the job. - Hostile Environment for Feedback: Employees who offer constructive feedback or raise valid questions are frequently labelled as having an "attitude problem" and are often pushed out of the company. In my experience, Employee Surveys basically end up in dustbins and exit interviews aren't even conducted for employees who are leaving due to unproductive environment. - Lack of Recognition: There is a persistent issue of certain managers taking the credit and awards for their team's hard work, prioritizing their own image over the team's success. - Ineffective HR: The HR department does not act as an impartial advocate for employees. They operate largely as a silent audience that defers entirely to management, leaving employees with no real avenue for support.

Pros

Worst job & company I’ve ever been at.

Cons

Lowball paying, they’d rather let you leave than give a slight raise to their best performers. None of the departments are aligned. Clients are always upset because they get the short stick of this. Don’t fall for the trendy items the company offers on the surface, they’re soulless and lack any caring leadership. I’ve worked at billion dollar companies whose ceos and executives were more involved and interacting with employees than MRI ever was. This company is clearly a private equity firms beast that’s on its usual path to failure, all they do is squeeze out all the money they can from upset clients and burnt out underpaid employees. They’re outsourcing majority of their jobs to South Africa, which if you look up their offered wage there - it’s $22k a year. Most people at the company are miserable and complain about it, moral is absolutely weak and fake. Use them as a stepping stone and ditch them fast if you bother with working here. If you just took a job here, congrats, you’re willing to work for even less money than the last round of folks they just laid off. Don’t be surprised when you don’t meet anyone with 5+ years at this company your first week, and your herded into a room full of new hires with low standards that you’ll witness drop like flies as they quit working there almost immediately.
