There are opportunties to work on exciting an important engineering projects with excellent people and excellent tools. Often these projects provide for national security or defense.
Cons
Some of the methods and processes in use at Lockheed Space Systems Company do not allow for flexibility in attaining the optimum solution to advances in design or vendor selection. The company has an on-line protocol called "Command Media" that it uses on a less than 100% consistent basis to "guide" (aka: "control") engineers and business employees.
