Marketing team is dysfunctional due to the leadership team. There was a group of “mean girls” that included the leaders and they lacked the inclusive culture that many companies strive for. They don’t hide the fact that they talk badly of their own team members behind their backs, and even yell at each other publicly in meetings in condescending way. It’s humiliating for people, and I’ve seen people cry. There is favoritism that occurs and if they don’t like you, they’ll try to find a reason to fire you. You shouldn’t be in a work environment that has the bully mentality where you feel intimidated and uneasy.
