Pros

I loved the work done within live nation I had the opportunity to work on diverse and varied projects that were all interesting to each other. These projects allowed me to gain an extraordinary experience.

Cons

During this experience, I experienced the worst human experience. I thought I would be able to prove myself by providing quality work and hope to evolve within this company, but I was branding into to my black identity by telling me that I had to be happy to have a job "and" that I would never find a position in the sector because I am black. No consideration from the managers and I was paid less than my white colleague knowing that I had to work twice as much. More than five years in the company, I never had a gesture of encouragement on the part of the managers but on the contrary of the daily humiliations and a constant questioning of the work provided. The managers manager according to the affection they had for their subordinates which resulted in benefits in kind and cash. The office had become unbearable on a daily basis between intimidation, mobbing and threat, I slipped into depression. In the end, I was deprived of what I liked to do because of my skin color.

Thank you for your feedback, I take these kinds of comments very seriously as it doesn’t fit with the way we operate our business at all, and I wish it had come to me sooner so I could investigate it further for you given our clear standards in relation to some of the items you have raised. It’s difficult to move forward without more specific details so I would really appreciate it if you could get in touch with me directly and we can discuss this properly, my email brian.newman@livenation.co.uk

Pros

1. Genuinely fun environment. You're working live shows at a major 16,000-capacity venue, so no two events feel the same. 2. Strong sense of teamwork; the ops crew is small and coordinated, so you actually rely on and trust the people around you. 3. Real, transferable experience: crowd management, security screening, event setup/breakdown, and real-time coordination during incidents. 4. Good exposure to how a venue actually runs, including coordination with partner staff like Legends Global. 5. Flexible seasonal structure worked well for me (if you want event-industry experience without a year-round commitment) and you can talk to management about going to other venues during off-season.

Cons

1. Seasonal and event-driven, so hours are inconsistent and concentrated around the concert season. 2. Outdoor amphitheater work is weather-dependent; shifts happen rain or shine (at my venue: Mann Center), and conditions can sometimes be tough. 3. Physically demanding with long nights, late breakdowns, and a lot of time on your feet, you've gotta really enjoy and appreciate shows. 4. Limited long-term advancement within a seasonal role.
