Pros

The work is in English 45 minute lunch and 2 breaks, 9-5 not 8;30 to 5 it's remote

Cons

-Toxic culture, all fun and games and family til you realize that upper management is literally family (nepotism) -Low pay -Varying tasks in almost all positions -Sales is extremely high pressure sales to the point where it's borderline immoral to sell to the clients that they do but you do it cause you gotta hit quota or your bonuses are shafted -All departments that are not sales basically don't get recognized, and a promotion to a team lead gives you a dollar an hour increase which is laughable while upper management gets hundreds of thousands a year -Micromanagement -Blind eye to bad behavior of certain favorites -Management has no formal training -Literally work anywhere else

James, I am sorry that after so much time has passed, you still resent a company that gave you a second chance. When you asked to return to LinkNow, we were clear on our expectations from you. We would wipe the slate clean and start fresh. We were very pleased with your attendance, commitment, and work for the first few months. Once we noticed it slipping, we were all hands on deck to resolve the issues for you to succeed at LinkNow. A manager's job is to oversee staff, ensuring that the employees produce to their full potential during work hours. If it is noticed that any employee is not, we need to put things in place to monitor and rectify it. You did not take kindly to being monitored and requested to be able to self-monitor your work. I agreed to this and said should any issues arise, they would be documented to you in a weekly email. It is not unreasonable for an employer to expect staff to work when they are logged in and on the clock. Despite months of working together and accommodating your many requests, our core values didn't align, and we had to part ways. We are proud to say LinkNow is a family owned and run business. 10 of our 12 departments are managed by people with zero ties to the owners and have worked their way up from entry-level positions to where they are now. As you are aware, our starting pay is higher than the minimum wage, and our annual raise is well above. Our sales team is trained to educate our clients and prospects. We deliver excellent products and services at a fraction of the cost of any of our competitors and will always strive to make being online affordable to others. As we go above and beyond, if we don't know, we learn; if we know, we teach and always remain helpful and friendly. I hope that you move on and are successful in your future. Eve from The LinkNow Team

Pros

- There are a lot of great people. - Bright, attractive office space. - They'll help support your professional development and let people change departments based on their interests. - They'll hire you if English is your only language.

Cons

- Call center focus. - Takes advantage of the relatively captive anglophone market with much lower salaries than average for Montreal—but this is a common problem in the city with companies that hire monolingual anglos. - Family-owned company, with all the drama and infighting that entails. - The office is out in the boonies at the very end of the orange line. Could be a pro if you're a West Islander who drives, but it's a bummer commute if you live in the city.

Pros

Some pros of working here are, firstly, that you get to work from the comfort of your own home. Upper management is always willing to listen to any issues that you may have and understand how important a work/life balance is. They also play to your strengths, so if they feel like you would do well in another role at the company then they choose to put you in that role so you can fully excel. As opposed to other organizations that would simply get rid of you without a second thought, whether their reasoning is valid or not. My colleagues are great as well. Everyone is willing to assist you with what you need and management treats you like a human being and not an employee number. Whether you have extensive experience in the field of SEO or website design, or you're a newbie (like I was when I was hired), then I suggest jumping at an opportunity to work for this great company. After 5 years I still enjoy coming to work. Not just because of the job, but also because of the people! My bosses Mack, Emmerika, Eve, and Wes are great. It's a breath of fresh air to have an open honest and business relationship with your higher ups and not have to tiptoe around things like I have had to in the past. I would highly recommend LinkNow Media to anyone looking for a long-term opportunity, and I have!

Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons. So far the best place I've ever worked.
