From day one, the onboarding has been clear and hands-on, with trainers and teammates always ready to help. You’re never left in the dark.
People genuinely root for each other. Even when it gets busy, there’s always someone who’s got your back.
You’re empowered to take initiative and contribute early on. I’ve learned a lot in just 50 days!
You get to solve real issues for retailers and actually make their day better. It’s not just checking boxes.
Cons
The learning curve is steep. It’s fast-paced and you need to be proactive to keep up. (But honestly, it’s part of what keeps things exciting.)
Some internal tools can feel a bit clunky at first, but you quickly adapt.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to review and for the impact you're making at Lightspeed. It’s great to hear how supported you’ve felt during onboarding and how quickly you’ve been able to grow and contribute — that kind of initiative and energy really drives our success. It’s also helpful to hear your perspective on the pace, tools, and the opportunity for more structured feedback early on - we'll ensure to pass this on. Thanks again for the review!
-Unlimited PTO - Use this, the company allows it. This is the main reason I stayed at this company for so long. If they did not offer it, I would have been gone within minutes.
Cons
-Low pay- the company makes up for not paying you by offering unlimited PTO
- They keep switching from Atena to Cigna, Kind of annoying when you already have an established PCP
- Constant layoffs, its a running joke in this company that when you become a Team Lead you are about to get laid off.
- Pay increase- Also it looks like when you start making too much money, prepare to get laid off. Accepting pay increases comes with less job security
- This job you need a lot of adaptability- you never know if you might come in and you have an increased amount of duties because they laid someone off - this increase of duties does NOT come with an increased salary/hourly wage either. You are just expected to take on other peoples job duties for nothing in return.
-Literally everyone is figuring out things on the spot, there are no tools provided to you to guide you through things. You just gotta figure it out as you go.
- The company asks for more than they give.
- The company has way too many meetings. You will end up sitting in meeting listening to other departments speak about things that have NOTHING to do with you. Time is not spent well here, time is wasted.
- The CEO is very boastful and braggy, like telling us things about his personal life that doesnt pertain to anything related to work in any way, shape or form disguised as " fun facts" when its just a chance to brag.
