Pros

Kohl's is a growing company, even during these hard economic times. The company believes they are recession proof, and I hope they are right. Also, because the company is so large, there are a lot of opportunities for your career to grow. I started as a shoe associate while I was completing my education. Management recognized my talents and moved me into the beauty department, where I was trained in cosmetic consulting. Now, I'm starting as a assistant store manager.

Cons

Long hours and really late nights when closing the store. During the holiday season the store closes at midnight and the employees are often there until 4 a.m. recovering the store. Poor training on all levels from sales associates to management.

Pros

None. I was hired to be a person that restocks and cleans, they saw I was able to ring up and put me as a cashier.

Cons

Very little pay, terrible training, horrible management and some terrible customers. Disgusting location also, I went to a manager about toilet paper out in the women restroom, he told me it was a morning task. It was 7pm, the store closed at 11pm! Also CASHIERS ARE LYING YO CUSTOMERS TO GET THEM TO OPEN CREDIT CARDS! Shady stuff I heard as a cashier. Also during my interview no one showed up, when I called the manager made it seem like I was bugging her for my interview
