Pros

Senior understand that you are new and try to be patient with explaining how to do things. But that varies depending upon which client/which team you get put on. Some cared about the intern learning experience whereas some didn't care as much. You will learn alot.

Cons

You will work alot of overtime, which is good when you are intern because you get compensation for the hours worked. However, when you sign up for full time work you will not get any over time compensation, so just be aware of this fact. You won't have much of a life during busy season. On some clients I was there until 3a.m. It just depends on what type of client you get put on.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
