Pros

- Brand name, however tarnish by some recent scandals - Market pay, better than other 2nd tier accounting firms but slightly lower than the other big 3 - Good training - Reasonable working hour

Cons

- Jobs are gradually shifting back to the Mainland offices. Since those partners and senior managers do not have much skills other than audit and the lack of business sense, they can go no where other than staying in the firm. The combined effect is that there is not as many opportunities as before for junior staffs to get to more senior level. - People management staff is forever changing. Every staff feels there is a pressure of downsizing from time to time. Staffs morale can not be lower. - When I say horrible management system, I meant it is managed by people. Strong favoritism exists for some managers / senior mangers for job allocations. Some male managers book some other female staffs having other things in their mind other than simply work.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
