Pros
-KPMG provide training all year around, with up to 3 weeks training the 1st year -Senior management is easily accessible and comes to supervise the projects directly with the team and the clients -Teamwork is awesome during the 1st year among new auditors/consultants -KPMG is the leader in the French market and has contracts with high profile companies -It is easy to work accross different business and functions. I was recruited in the Financial Services Business Unit as and auditor but I had the opportunity to work with the Transaction Services division and I was also involved in consulting projects -You need to be proactive to get the best projects. -You may have the opportunity to supervise projects and interact with top exécutives at an early stage.
Cons
-The job may be really stressful and I was expected to finish work during the weekend without billing it in some occasions -A lot gossiping, hypocrrisy, backstabbing and ''dirty politics" from juniors to senior management. It was hard to trust anyone there -Hardword and meritocracy are not recognised. Instead, you are expected to interact well and please project managers in order to get good feedback and get promoted.
