Pros

Great benefits. Tremendous internal resources. YOu have avery strong job security however, the actual work is often very monotonous and if you have no intention to stck around after qualifying it is difficult to find much motivation to be a strong performer. The company has tremendous benefits including paying for 75% of gym membership costs, personal care days, personal services program that can be utilized to do odd jobs or personal research for you in the event that you are unable to yourself. The company could do a better job of providing other opportunities within the firm to strong employees.

Cons

Nature of work is boring

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
