Pros

Good work environment Good work life balance Decent pay Nice people

Cons

Too many compliance restrictions Less focus on client delivery and wins Very small projects which will limit your technology exposure. Very poor IT infrastructure Once you fall on the wrong side of compliance, you do not have any tools to challenge the claim of non- compliance. Ex: timesheet miss is a non- compliance, but you do not get an email once you submit timesheet, so you will not be able to prove with an email timestamp. Same case with trainings, you do not get any confirmation emails once you complete a training, once they flag you for late completion of training, there are no tools available to challenge company’s claim at your disposal. There are heavy fines for non compliance like delayed completion of trainings. It is also a common practise to cancel the hike and bonus along with fines. Please do not join if you take your trainings and other internal KPIs lightly and focus on client deliverables more

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
