Pros

It is a job that pays the minimum required amount in accordance with federal pay scales for a given job title and location.

Cons

If you are an SCA contracted hourly employee, it is important to understand that most of the benefits Jacobs Technology Inc. lists in its "Benefits Program Highlights" are actually funded from the federally mandated hourly Health and Welfare benefit and not from the coffers of the company. For example: the company states that they will pay their employees $50 per pay period if they "Opt-Out" of receiving medical benefits, making it sound like the $50 per pay period is coming from them. The reality is that they take the $50 per pay period from your Health and Welfare fringe that is owed to you and re-label it as a payment from them on your paycheck as if it were them giving it to you. You would have received the same money as cash in lieu of benefits, so you are gaining nothing.
