Pros

The workload was dependent on multiple facets, all of which relied on the persons ability. A very startup culture, very fluid and always work available. Small teams.

Cons

Lack of communication and very childish antics caused teams to stay within silos or allow too much authority outside of managements ability to control. High turnover rate with very little handoff. Due to silos, work is halted and slowed down due to a persons absence. Point of the matter is that communication and trust needs to be worked on. Ego and power trips abound.

Thanks for the review. Risk Management processes are, well, in process. The company offers the following benefits: generous PTO (20 days minimum, with carry over) + 9 holidays, health, vision, dental, short term disability, and transportation benefits. An HR department is a luxury that many start ups can't carry until revenues bring the business to break even. However, Itemize does employ a full service outsourced HR vendor. with fully staffed on call help team.

Pros

Itemize allows a lot more flexibility and benefits than most start-ups offer. Between the generous amount of PTO and the ability to work remote when necessary, Itemize is a great company from a benefits standpoint. The CEO and Management have immense vision, and that is to become the Google of Payment Documents. With its focus on middle market business, API clients and financial institutions, Itemize is well on its way to achieving its vision. As far as anyone being disrespectful, my experience has been that everyone is in management is open to suggestions on improvement and criticism - as long as it's constructive. The management is very passionate about the work Itemize is doing and that comes off each and every day.

Cons

No real cons. It's hard work, but that's how start-up life is, be prepared to work hard and keep up, this company isn't looking for anything but A Players.
