Cons
Far to many middle managers who see time served as a virtue. The middle managers are the most de-motivated and uninspiring leaders for any positive change. Given the time served they are accustom to 'this is how we have always done it' and are too afraid or lack confidence for change. They constantly seek ideas from lower level staff simply because they are so detached from what people actually do, but mask it as developing our performance.
