Pros

The company they placed me in was good. I learned a lot there and the people in that company were great. But nothing good to say about Insight Global. I say run far far away when they contact you about any job.

Cons

Where do I begin with how bad this company is and how much they lie to you just to get you under their wing and contracted out to their client. Then they don't care about you once you are placed and working with them. No phone calls or emails to check up on how you are doing or if you are happy working where they placed you. I am going to tell you about all the lies and deceit that happened while I was contracting under them. Also a few instances that tell me what a joke of a company insight global is. It starts off fine by them telling you that the contract job is a contract to hire to get you to consider the opportunity if you are looking for full time permanent employment. Then after you sign all the paperwork and they know you have put in your notice with your current employer they bombard you with calls asking you if you are OK if it is just a contract job. This is basically when you almost have no choice since you already put in notice and sign all their paperwork to work for them. Be careful and print out all your timesheets before you submit them to insight global for the client to approve. One time after submitting my timesheet that showed 40 hours of work. I have the client approach me and ask me what I did during my overtime on a saturday. I told the client I didn't work on Saturday and I only submitted to Insight Global for 8 hours a day on Monday to Friday and Insight must have made some mistake. In my mind, I was super pissed off that Insight basically made me look bad in front of a client for no reason and almost like I was trying to "steal" money by getting overtime pay without work. Granted the client knew me and since I worked there for a while and believed that I wouldn't do something like that. I followed up with both the recruiter and the account manager for the client regarding this. I got an email from both of them separately saying they would look into this for me and respond to me within a day or two. But no response from them at all regarding this after the original response saying they would look into it. I definitely recommend you figure out how much Insight Global is charging the client for your services before negotiating your pay. I found out how much they were charging for me and felt cheated that they were making that much money off me. If you are wondering it was over double what they were paying me. Here is a funny one. So after I realized for sure that Insight Global lied to me about the job being contract to hire. That was probably my mistake. But that is a different story and lesson learned for me. So I updated my resume and started getting myself out there to look for another job. One that was a full time permanent job. I got contacted by three different Insight Global recruiters telling me about great opportunities. They seemed to have no idea that I was already working for them under one of their clients when I mentioned it to them. Do they just blindly search resumes online or something and not double check if the people they are contacting already are employed under the company? Sad...... This is the ultimate thing that really tells me that they don't care about you at all as a contractor under them. I never received a single email or phone call from the recruiter or account manager after I was placed asking about how I was doing or if I was happy working at the client site. Only emails I ever get is if I was late with my timesheet or if I missed days for being out sick since you don't get sick days under them as a contractor which is normal. So I found another job and put in 2 week notice with the client and also the account manager. Only after I put in notice do I finally get an email that isn't "hey turn in your timesbeet". Just a quick blurb about if I found another job and what he could do to make me happier working with the client. My response was a simple found another job that was a full time permanent one which is what I wanted in the first place. No response after that email at all from the account manager. Make sure to follow up through the corporate office regarding your final paycheck. That is the only way you will get paid out what is owed to you. I emailed the account manager once after I submitted my timesheet for the previous week asking how I would get paid for my final couple of days of work as I decided to make my last day in the middle of the week to give myself some rest before starting my new job. Got no response from him. When I submitted my final hours and emailed him regarding my final paycheck again I got no response. Emailed again two days later asking about my final paycheck and still got no response from him. By then I was pissed so I called the corporate office to try to speak to the payroll department the following Monday asking about my final paycheck as it had now become a week with no response about my final paycheck and several days after my last day without seeing my final paycheck. The lady that answered the phone told me that she couldnt transfer me to them for whatever dumb reason they have for that and asked what she could help with. I explained my situation about not getting my final check and she recommended I follow up with the recruiter or account rep. I told her I had for a week with no response and she assured me that she would pass this on to their manager and make sure I get a response by the end of the day. I got no response again that day and waited another day to give them another day to respond but still radio silence from the recruiter and account rep. I again called the corporate office the next day and demanded to speak to the payroll department. Got the same BS about not being able to be transferred to them and how can she help. So they tried doing the same dance they gave me on Monday when I called but I told them I was supposed to hear back from either the recruiter or account rep by Monday end of day but didn't hear from them at all which is why I was calling again for the same issue. She then asked me to hold while she call the lady in payroll responsible for getting me paid. Why I couldn't speak to her directly to get this resolved the first time I called is beyond me. When the lady finally came back to the phone, she told me that the account rep didn't even mention anything about me no longer contracting under Insight Global and payroll will get me paid ASAP. I did finally get paid that day but you can see all the trouble I went through just to get my final check and how the recruiter and account rep don't care about you or making sure you get paid on time (which is against the law to make someone wait that long after their final day by the way) once they are no longer making money off you.
