There are no "listeners" here. Most of the project managers are people who have been in the same team for over a decade. Because skip level manager has been a colleague of the manager, if an employee goes to a skip level manager with their concern, they ultimately are always on the side of the manager even if the manager is wrong. The skip level manager doesn't want to spoil the rapport they have with the manager. There is hierarchy model in Infosys even if they deny of it in their policies. A lot of teams have micromanaging managers. There is nobody to question these managers as to what they have contributed to the project. The managers get things done from "subordinates" (even though as per policy there is no hierarchy) and then use this achievement of the team to showcase it as their own achievement probably to client or their manager. In order to do this they push employees to work extra and micromanage.
Also employees are not allowed to be working on projects where their skills can be utilized best. Instead people are moved by managers randomly to random technology projects if they don't like the person personally.
