Pros

Really decent 2 month training period. Got weird when I moved to an office - I had trained in Indiana, then was sent to Phoenix AZ (where I wanted to go) with 4 others. They didn't even know we were coming to Phoenix. My other teammates were split up into work. I was bizarrely shuffled between 3 project benches for 8 months, doing zero work on the first two. Nearly made it onto a third, but something weird happened with a background check between the offshore team in India and a third party company and I wasn't allowed on the project. That itself was handled bizarrely - in January I got the drug test to join that team done, then for a month I got weird radio silence when I asked the internal team what the issue was multiple times - then when I reached out to the third party they never got my documents. Sent them those documents only to be told 2 more weeks later that the check went wrong - I saw very clearly that one digit was off in my SSN but despite having what I needed to correct that internal communication blocked it with "we can't answer your problems" and trying to elevate it to my internal team lead ended with him sort of just shoving it off and not doing it. Covid hit that very week and I left that project, spent two more months on a non-project bench and was finally let go. Weird company, man

Cons

The internal communication is kind of a mess and I figure this is an okay first position to apply for (seems they genuinely hire anyone with a completed 4 year college degree, one person in my 24 person batch had genuinely never even programmed before training...despite this being a programming job?) and get a foot into the industry with. Okayish stepping stone to greater things with some decent enough pay.

Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
