Pros
1. Wonderful infrastructure and Beauutiful GREEN campus in India. Haven't seen even many American Comps having such a wonderful campus and infra. It was the dream company of most of the engineering grads in India and right so. 2. Comp has spend a lot of money in coming up with the training programs. The certification frameworks that is been laid down is helpful for empowerment of employees in the knowledge market. 3.Senior Mgmt Handled the Recession, relatively well given the organisation size. 4. Middle level mgmt helpful to find you assignment that interests you. Once you are in the company for some time, getting onsite oppertunity is not an issue, unless you are stuck in a really worse project.
Cons
1. It was believed that Long term association with the company is rewarded . In Reality it's punished. You will end up mentoring/leading freshers/team members who would be drawing a higher, almost equal salary than you. 2. The yearly compensation review of a employee is significantly less as compared to people join as lateral. or even the fresher's Salary incrases year by year better as compared to the so called even a Good performer in the organisation. 3. I think Company spends a lot of money/resources manipulating the brand image of the company in the indian psyche through media. Every penny increase would be hyped as if no other company offers similar oppertunity. 4. In the internal meeting with highers mgmt/HR head, you can sense the apathetic repeatative answers and you can decide your self from their answers "The best way is the way out.". 5. Some of the HR policies are poorly drafted by insensitive HR people in a half harted manner. 6. Every week there would be a new initiative for the sake of initiative how ever useless initiative may be. If you are one of the person who believes Hard work and contribution to the project would be rewarded, you might have to think otherwise. Smartly if you can start any RUBBISH USELESS initiative, damn sure you will be appreciated or awarded in performance review. 7. Can you imagine the helpdesk listening to your personal calls silently and warn you within few minutes that it is a personal call. and HR person justifying it that personal calls not allowed based on policy. That too when employee is working on a saturday -weekend for meeting project delivery date. There might be innumerous reasons where you might have to make a personal call. The help desk can't listen to the calls stealthily and cut the call.
