Pros

It's a huge company and so has well defined processes for everything - HR, Finance, Service Desk etc. Every employee service from filling tax to resigning process is well defined and automated. Infosys has huge number of clients and keeps adding new everyday. So many clients mean lot of technologies in varied environments - which is a heaven for learning. Infosys have quite a few big shot clients which means lot of cutting edge technologies. Infosys has a very string traing and knowledge mangement base so if you're willing enough to learn new and upcoming technologies you can do it here.

Cons

The working hour policy of 9.15 hours/day and policies to mark one down in annual salary reviews because of falling short of 9.15 hrs/day, not clearing internal certifications in time etc. The policy of 9.15 hours/day is so strictly followed that employees who fall short of that mark have to compensate by sacrificing their earned leaves. Sick leave is limited to 1 every quarter which is illogical. Too much workplace politics to deal with on a day to day basis and favouritism is very common amongst managers during annual appraisal process.

Pros

Legitimate source of gainful project-based tech employment. Handles the headaches of looking for tech work and verifying your talent & legitimacy as a professional in the field, which is especially valuable in the age of AI. Additionally, they offer internal training resources to help ensure your skills are up to date with the current tech landscape.

Cons

Pay can be significantly lower than might be expected for tech work at higher levels, as their business model is as a staffing company, garnishing part of the wage paid by project clients as part of your employment. It's definitely very livable payment in most places, but it doesn't approach senior or even mid-level pay offered by many other US-operating employers in the tech space. This company has also been operating on slow or outdated systems, which can be frustrating for the remote contact of many of its employees, but Infosys has been actively updating these systems over time. Additionally, work conditions will be set at the behest of clients. Infosys is your pipeline to client projects, not often the host of projects themselves, so working conditions & expectations can vary by client.
