It is a very disappointing job for me after all the hard work to pass in the hiring process. I left another job thinking it would be better to go through hopper because I could work from home, and I thought I would have more flexibility. And they are not so flexible, and the job is VERY BORING. I feet like a robot. Everything in the processes is so confusing because they change the workflow ALL THE TIME! Also, for any request for a day off or vacation, the scheduling team takes months to answer. The payment is also too low, 40,000 USD

Pros

pay, remote, some good/smart people in pockets

Cons

Senior leaders could not care less about employees and routinely make bad market decisions leading to foreseeable product issues and eventual layoff cycles. There was a time a few years back where employees criticized the dark patterns in the app - the president got pissed and said 'the data didn't show it was an issue', then a few months later when we got bad press about those patterns dismissed it as our competitors planting stories - sums up the culture pretty clearly.
