Pros
-Decent starting salary -Interesting work -Unique opportunities to develop technical skills -Good co-workers, few good managers -Walled cubicles (down to preference) -OT pay -Commuting to work is accessible, traffic around area is not bad at all
Cons
Where to begin.... -Toxic, high stress work environment -Abysmal, and i mean ABYSMAL workplace morale -Literally no work/life balance. No clubs, societies, recreational leagues. No relationships outside of work. -Lack of accountability, culture is heavily influenced by shifting blame to someone else -Favoritism and nepotism are clear to see -Very top heavy; these positions are occupied by some seriously incompetent individuals -Extremely poor project planning -Not a single program success in the last little while. Profit margins are still coming from products designed years ago by people who have long left for greener pastures. Lack of success comes from terrible decisions made at the highest level -Heavily lacking a young workforce due to their inability to retain young, fresh talent -Many half-baked and failed endeavors to improve workplace morale -Attrition has been high the last few years, especially under current leadership. -No cafeteria serving food -Poor benefits (benefits were reduced recently) -Layoffs are an annual occurrence -Furloughs happen every few years -Site leadership legitimately do not care about you, and value the worth of the dollar more than any contributions their employees make - i.e no loyalty
