Pros

Discounts on phones services. Reasonable benefits although they are getting worse. Good coworkers who are committed to doing whats right.

Cons

Centralized decision making - not giving business units the authority and responsibility for their own success. Too much focus on moving jobs to "emerging regions".. This translates to little job security or future if you are a US citizen. The company has growth by aquisition - and forces newly aquired copanies to follow the Honeywell processes and procedures. This may not make sense to do everything the Honeywell "way" but local managers are not allowed to deviate. The company is highly "siloed" with different support groups (e.g. purchasing, technology, manufacturing, sales, etc) having often different and incompatable metrics to meet. Looking out for the customer seems secondary to meeting your metrics. This is particularly true with global sourcing. Constant push to supplier prices, get better payment terms, etc follows the model used by automotive companies (e.g. GM, Chyrsler). Not a good example to follow for long term success..

Honeywell has a really good early careers program.

If you like upstate New York, then it's a really pleasant place to work.

Pros

Some genuinely nice coworkers, that deserve better. Sometimes provide free food BUT consists of unhealthy options.

Cons

Extremely poor communication from management. Non existent most of time. When they do communicate, you are met w/ lies. Care about profit/numbers at the expense of employee health. Impossible production expectations without enough personnel. Management questions everyone but themselves. Equipment shortage and issues impact production as well. But blame is placed on production staff. Toxic coworkers that will get on the case of new workers for not being robots that operate non-stop. Depressing and loud environment, along w/ possible chemical exposure. Low pay and small raises. HR cares about business needs, not individuals. Stretching required every hour. Optional at first, but then management started enforcing. Computers and systems always slow and having issues. Language barrier. Diversity is great, but this can cause miscommunication w/ those who don't speak good English.
