Bad place to work - Front Desk Agent Hilton Garden Inn Employee Review

Pros

Pay is slightly above minimum wage. You get good hotel discounts. Good/steady hours mostly.

Cons

When they train you, it's all about the computer which is only a part of the job. They don't tell you much about the actual facility and what it offers and what you can do for the guest. When you work there it's trial by error and they definitely let you know when you make a mistake. But likely you were acting with the information given. Management is also difficult. They will stand over you until you make a mistake then lecture you about it. Guests frequently treat you bad. After they "let me go" I would see the ad on craigslist for my job opening. Over and over. They have a high turn over rate. Do one thing to anger them off, you're done. Then they hastily hire a new person and repeat the same cycle. INVEST in the employee. Teach them.
