Pros

By staying ahead of the curve in pay scale overall they are able to attract some of the more talented chef's in the city. Unfortunately this is minor with the infighting that goes on.

Cons

If you enjoy the idea of working in a very internally politicized job, then this would be the place for you. Infighting over the few available promotions changed a possibly great job into a drudge. Add in the separate pay scales for local and foreign workers, a remnant of a bygone era when foriegn talent wouldn't come to a communist country and you have a recipe for dissatisfaction.

Pros

Great staff and lowermanagement. Last general manager was unfriendly and not very helpful.

Cons

I was supposed to get long tenure status for lifetime friends of family with my veteran status. Worked at Hilton 9+ years. Supposed to get 1 year for my veteran status (according to the handbook at that time) which would make 10 years. HR supposedly turned in application in August 2024. I even followed up and was told they were working it. It's been almost 2 years and haven't heard anything yet. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Guess I won't be staying at Hilton Hotels.
