After receiving valid work authorization and returning to the company, the employee was not placed back on the successful long-term project where he had contributed for more than a year and a half. Instead, he spent more than a month without pay while waiting for reassignment. He was eventually assigned to a small unstable project that was later shut down due to lack of funding. After the project’s closure, he remained on the bench, received pay for 2 months, and was ultimately terminated despite years of successful performance and multiple professional certifications.
