Pros

For oregon only its the best place to work unless cutting trees down or waiting tables is your thing. For SSF that ship has long sailed.

Cons

Huge disconnect front the frontline employees and managment(as usual right). the plant was poorly designed. all genentech sites hate eachother so no one collaborates because everone is too arrogant (for no real reason)-( so far most the managers at genentech are in position for who they are friends with, not becuase they manage great). We have nothing but delays delays and more delays yet managers are promoted= what?but we constanlty been force fed crap like Class A, global this, governance that, 5S this, studd never ends ands gets in the way!. These lame inititives which basically come into light to- justify jobs. Remove all that fluff and lets get to work. Stop wasting time with all this nonsense. This Plant is: FAR FROM LEAN!!!! Far from Class A Excellent at delays and making poor descisions. I am in the proccess of looking outside for another job because there is way too much corporate fluff here. -Old School Genentech RIP.

Pros

The work is meaningful and overall the company vision aligns with my goals

Cons

QA management has become inept. None of the leadership (aside from maybe one or two) truly understand the nuances of our site and jobs. They refuse to pay you more due to "budget" reasons but won't provide much information, they claim to be transparent but will make decisions behind your back and not communicate them, even if they impact you and/or your job. Leadership doesn't listen to feedback and gets defensive if you even try to give any. It honestly has become a game of politics only in QA and that's not really building any real quality culture.
